On Coppola's Palazzo Margherita.
After directing the advertisment for Marni/H&M, Sofia Coppola was reported to be busy with a new family production — Palazzo Margherita. Palazzo Margherita is located in Bernalda which is the birthplace of her great grandfather Agostino Coppola. They transformed the Palazzo into a luxury boutique hotel.
Photos of the interiors came out in World of Interiors March 2012. The photos are...
On why I love Stanley.
It’s official. I am in love with Stanley. I think it has the perfect combination of east and west. It’s right beside Repulse Bay, which has the most spectacular beach in Hong Kong (at least for me). It reminds me of our backpacking trip in Europe when I graduated high school. The bus took us across countries from Portugal, Spain, Italy to France. The atmosphere is somehow similar in...
On climbing mountains.
Whenever I think about climbing mountains, I always think of Paulo Coelho’s manual for climbing mountains which I read back in 2009. Fast forward to 2012, who would have thought Miguel and I would still be hiking Lantau mountains, braving unfamiliar trails and praying no snakes would come our way.
So anyway, let me share with you the manual for climbing mountains by Paulo Coelho:

Brussel Sprouts with Lemon and Garlic
It’s back to health and fitness! Most of us at work are into the Insanity craze. I love it so much I’m tweaking my diet once again — this time with lots of greens and fiber. Today, I found a very simple yet delicious brussel sprouts recipe online. This one is from one of my favorite food blogs: Smitten Kitchen.
Do check out the recipe over HERE.

Severe Freeze hits Europe
It was reported that parts of Europe such as Norway, Switzerland, France, Italy and Netherlands hit 35 degrees celsius below zero. The severe freeze was captured by the Instagram team. Makes me feel guilty for complaining at 7 degrees. I cannot imagine surviving in a freezer.
Friday B/W Photographs
There is just something about black and white film that makes photos look more interesting. I always keep a trusty camera with me — iphone or canon.. And when I feel like it, I just click away at some of the most random things I witness when I go out for a stroll or on my way to work.

FILM: Every Little Step
Every Little Step is a documentary following the casting of 2005 Broadway revival of A Chorus Line. Parallel to its original broadway story, this documentary gives a sneak peak of how tedious and humbling it is for performers to get into a Broadway show — from lining up in the cold, struggling to make it to the first cut, dance auditions, song auditions, monologues then the excruciating...

On being cool like Jeff Bridges.
Jeff Bridges has the best personal website I’ve come across online. Take a look at the photography page and you’ll be amaze at the photos. Here are some photos of the making of True Grit, which we loved by the way. Amazing remake.
Intimate Portrait on the Dragon Lady
Meryl Streep is one of my favorite actresses of all time. This is a great feature by Brigitte Lacombe’s on set portraits of meryl streep at nowness:
On taking photos without postprocessing
I admire people who take photos on film and avoid use of postprocessing. There’s just something about the natural light and the photos’ imperfections that make them more interesting for me.
Here are some photographs from Anna & Marek Strachan.
That scene from Lost in Translation
Charlotte and Bob lie a few feet apart on the bed.
CHARLOTTE (O.S.)
I’m stuck. Does it get easier.
BOB
No..yes, it does…
CHARLOTTE
Yeah? But look at you.

I’m currently addicted to Pepparkakor, these ginger cookies which Nica brought home from Sweden. It is usually good with mulled wine.

If I ever get out of here, I’m going to
start speaking to my mother. She slept
with Oscar, and maybe it was Oscar’s
fault, I don’t know, and then she sold
the story to Inside Edition....
